Original Oil Paintings and Digital Illustrations

Painted and digital work inspired by hedgerows, gardens and the quiet life around them.

For people who have muddy boots by the door, a cup of tea going cold, and notice the way the seasons quietly change familiar places.

This artwork is part of my spring & summer collection.

Hi, I’m Birgit – an artist and human to several four-legged studio assistants, who take their supervisory roles very seriously.

My work focuses on small, everyday scenes – hedgerows, gardens, woodland habitats, and domestic spaces where nature and daily life quietly overlap.

Because the most interesting places are rarely perfect – they are lived in, slightly untidy, and shared. And this is as true of forests as it is of gardens and homes.

The laundry has become part of the furniture. The cat has settled on top. It hardly seems fair to disturb either of them.

That’s very much the spirit of Cup of Cosy Art – whether outside in hedgerows and gardens, or inside in homes that quietly settle into themselves over time.

A small reason to notice the changing seasons, leave a few things unfinished, and make room for moments that don’t need to be useful to matter.
